Christmas is soon upon us...

Guess I've *finally* grown-up... Christmas is just around the corner, and I can't find it in myself
to become excited about that *at all*. All I can see, are troubles inumero.

I work in a shop, and people have *just* discovered that Christams is only a few weeks away...
subsequently, all they could have gotten whenever, they want *now*... in short, it's *not* going to
be a few quiet weeks until Chrismas for me.

On top of the stress at work, it's the stress at home; tidying, cleaning, decorating and cooking...
why the heck do I bother. And as if spending money on buying extra food wasn't enough, there are the
"small" matter of buying presents... many of them to people I don't really like -- and who certainly
not really likes me.

I'm starting to think that this whole thing is a ploy by shop-owners and toy-producers to sell more
stuff... that they at the dawn-of-time made some un-holly alliance with some rather nasty... (that's
what I get from watching "Buffy" :-)

In short, Christmas was a *lot* more fun while I was a kid... when *I* was the one *getting* the
presents...
